Introduction To The Installation Method Of Ball Screw Steel Ball

First, it is not recommended for users to remove the mounting nuts, especially high lead ball screws. Before you can install the nut for the ball screw, you must have a sleeve (also called a dummy shaft) that is the same diameter as the ball groove. After the nut is cleaned with liquid oil, grease the ball groove, stick the balls one by one, and put them into the ball groove. After putting in, put the sleeve into the nut, and use the screw to rotate the sleeve against the sleeve. The purpose of the sleeve is to prevent the balls from being squeezed out when the ball screw rotates.

Install with the corresponding type of dummy shaft, but also have the corresponding type of steel balls. For example, 16-diameter steel balls should be installed with 16 dummy shafts with 3.175 steel balls, 32-diameter steel balls should be installed with 32 dummy shafts with 6.350 steel balls, and so on.

The detailed steps of the ball nut loading method:

    1. Clean the ball screw nut and balls.

Put the plastic ball stop (ball reverser) back into the nut.

    3. Apply grease in the nut groove.

Put the ball into the spiral groove. Note that not all helical grooves are filled, the balls are placed according to the principle that the reverser is circular.

    5. Screw the nut into the threaded rod (be careful not to drop the balls).

    6. Rotate the nut forward and backward to check whether the nut runs smoothly. If it is smooth, it means OK.

Other ways to load balls in ball nuts:

If the nut falls off accidentally or you have disassembled it now, please re-install the nut as follows: machine an outer diameter slightly smaller than the bottom diameter of the screw raceway (less than 0.1mm), and the inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the screw end (more than 0.5 ~2mm), a hollow sleeve whose length is longer than the length of the nut (10~50mm in length).

Block one end of the hollow sleeve with a soft foam wrap, thread it into the clean nut without balls, and then press the cleaned balls into each circulating groove ball to fill a circle (the gap should be 0.5~1.5 pieces) The diameter of the ball), and then turn the hollow sleeve slightly, after confirming that it is smooth, push the next turn of the hollow sleeve until it is fully filled.

Then remove the blocked filler, put the hollow sleeve and the nut together on the end of the screw shaft, hold the hollow sleeve with one hand, and slowly screw the nut into the screw with the other hand until all the nuts are smoothly screwed into the screw effectively. Threaded groove. Finally, inject grease or lubricating oil into the oil filling hole of the nut, rotate the nut and move more than two times during the whole process to ensure smooth operation, and finally inject grease once, and you are done.
