The FK/FF end supports are every so often referred to as "flange" style. Mounting holes are furnished in flanges, and bores in brackets on your machine receive the round bearing body. Bolts fasten the flanges to secure in place.
The FK "fixed" end support contains two angular contact bearings that provide each axial and rotational support for the ball screw.
The FF "simple/floating" support has only a standard ball bearing that provides rotational support on the end of the ball screw opposite of the place the drive happens (typically a motor or pulley).
Our standard ball screws are supplied with machining that will work with these supports without modification.

Simple or Floating Support – used for a single ball bearing to assist the ball screw meeting towards radial loads.
Fixed Support – used for angular contact thrust bearings to counteract axial and radial forces contacting the ball screw.
