Rod ends consist of an eye-shaped head with imperative shank that types a housing for a spherical plain bearing. Rod ends are available with left- or right-hand female or male threads.

Rod ends with a threaded shank with a right-hand thread as standard. With suffix R, some rod ends are also available with left-handed threads.They are identified with suffix L.
